Bucknellians unite for National Alumni Community Service Event

Bucknell regional clubs will participate in the first annual National Alumni Community Service Event April 18–19.

Regional club service projects include:

Greater Susquehanna Valley, Pa.:
 Bucknell University's Lewisburg Neighborhood Thaw-out (bringing students and the local community together to help downtown businesses prepare for spring)

Philadelphia, Pa.:
 Annual Spring Trails Day (trail maintenance)

New York, N.Y.:
 Manhattan-Seaport area Multiple Sclerosis Walk

Washington, D.C.:
 Capital Area Food Bank (sorting and sending food to those in need)

Chicago, Ill.:
Wrigley Start Early Run/Walk 5K/10K/Kids Dash (benefitting Prevent Child Abuse America)

Baltimore, Md.:
Habitat for Humanity Build

Northern New Jersey:
Ridgewood, N.J., Multiple Sclerosis Walk

Princeton, N.J.:
Used Lacrosse Equipment and Spring Cleanup Drive (benefitting the Bobby Campbell Lax Foundation, founded by Ken Foulk '82 and John Morris '82)

N. California: Removing invasive non-native plants in San Bruno Mountain State Park

San Diego, Calif.:
United Through Reading Grandparent Program (recording grandparents reading stories aloud to their grandchildren on DVDs for troops); Tour de Cure Bike Race support staff (benefitting the American Diabetes Association); Beach Clean-up (benefitting San Diego Coastkeepers)

Louisville, Ky.:
28th Annual Wally Bright Bake-off 5K
