Check out the new Bookstore!
Following a careful, yearlong restoration, the Barnes & Noble atBucknell University Bookstore — featuring 29,500 square feet of booksand other merchandise displayed among artifacts from the building’spast — opened for business this summer in downtown Lewisburg. Thebookstore occupies the former C. Dreisbach’s Sons Hardware Store on thenorthwest corner of Fourth and Market streets and includes a largeinventory of books, magazines and sportswear, as well as a Starbuckscafe. The historic portions of the three-story building were preservedand highlighted by design, including an antique freight elevator andmuch of the original brickwork and woodwork. Modern touches include amassive skylight,Wi-Fi connectivity and artwork throughout showcasingBucknell’s history and iconic images.
